Product
Why choose DiaperChamp over a regular trash bin?
DiaperChamp offers superior odor control thanks to the patented weighted cylinder system that moves with the opening and closing of the lid. This makes DiaperChamp the only system with a sealed and airtight design, even when the lid is “open.” The nursery stays fresh and free from unpleasant odors. You can use regular trash bags, so no expensive cassettes that produce extra plastic are required.
Does the large DiaperChamp that my daycare has work the same as the smaller models for home use?
Yes, the patented odor-free system is the same in all our models.
Do I need a Handsfree model or a manually operated model?
Handsfree models are operated with a foot pedal. This keeps both hands free, which is hygienic and ensures you can safely keep your child on the changing table.
The manual models are also very easy to use. You toss the diaper into the opening and make the rotating movement of the lid at a time that is convenient and safe for you. This rotating movement stores the diaper odor-free.
Which size DiaperChamp do I need?
- DiaperChamp One Standard (HF) and the Classic Regular
25 newborn diapers, so about 10–15 size 3+ diapers
Ideal for households with 1 child in diapers, hotel rooms, or small-scale childcare (at home/childminder). - DiaperChamp One Medium (HF) and the Classic Medium
45 newborn diapers, so about 18–28 size 3+ diapers
Our ideal size, suitable for families, childminders, daycares, and public changing rooms. - DiaperChamp One Maxi (HF) and the Classic Large
60+ newborn diapers, so about 24–37 size 3+ diapers
Perfect for families with multiple children in diapers, twin families, daycares, hospitals, and public changing rooms in shopping centers, playgrounds, swimming pools, campsites, and restaurants.
Which bag do I need for which model?
We recommend:
- 40-liter bags for our Standard models and the Classic Regular.
- 70-liter bags for our Medium models
- 100-liter bags for our Maxi and Large models.
You can use any garbage bag. For extra convenience, we offer a value pack of bags in our webshop that fit perfectly in your pail. These are of high quality, have a good tie closure, and a round star base, allowing the diapers to fall efficiently into the pail.
Usuage
Why does the ball still need to be assembled in the Handsfree models?
By transporting the ball loosely in the pail, our packaging can remain as compact as possible without compromising quality. The ball can be placed with a simple instruction. This reduces the need for cardboard and lowers CO₂ emissions because this adjustment allows us to transport 10% more boxes simultaneously.
Can I use cloth diapers in the DiaperChamp?
Hooks are mounted in all our ONE models where you can hang a laundry bag. So you can use the same system with a laundry bag for cloth diapers or a regular garbage bag for disposable diapers. Switching between them is also not a problem, for example, if you are in doubt, have less time, or opt for 50/50. Every little bit helps, and DiaperChamp wants to contribute to that.
Can I throw diaper wipes into the DiaperChamp?
We recommend always folding diaper wipes into the diaper. Loose wipes can block the rotating system.
Can I also use the DiaperChamp for incontinence material or stoma supplies?
The DiaperChamp is suitable for disposing of inserts, wound material, and stoma material. For larger incontinence diapers, the opening is often too small.
The throw-in opening has a diameter of 13 cm and a depth of 17 cm. If the material fits in it, the rotating system can continue to work, and the DiaperChamp is suitable for you.
How long can I use the DiaperChamp without changing the bag?
We usually recommend changing the bag every 3 days.

How can I order replacement silicone rings?
For the Classic models, we recommend replacing the silicone rings every 2 to 3 years. These can be ordered through our webshop here.
TIPS FOR ODOR-FREE USE
How can I replace the garbage bag without unpleasant odors being released?
Thanks to the innovative two-step opening mechanism of DiaperChamp, you can change the bag without odors escaping. First, lift the entire lid and pinch the bag closed. Then, detach the top part of the lid to remove the bag. This system keeps the odor inside the bag. Watch the VIDEO "How to change a bag."
How do I know if I'm using the correct bag in my DiaperChamp?
DiaperChamp is designed to work with standard garbage bags. Place the bag through the ring-shaped opening on the inside of the pail. Do not fold the bag over the outside of the pail, as odors can escape through the sides otherwise. Make sure the bag reaches the bottom of the pail, with about 20 cm of extra space. The weight of the diapers will slightly pull the bag down.
We recommend:
- Standard/Classic Regular → 40 liters
- Medium → 70 liters
- Maxi/Large → 100 liters
Can I throw diaper wipes into the DiaperChamp?
We recommend always folding diaper wipes into the diaper. Loose wipes can block the rotating system.
TIPS FOR DIAPERCHAMP CLASSIC
Avoid exposing the silicone rings to direct sunlight to prevent damage. Keep the handle in a horizontal position after use for an airtight seal. Always turn the handle back after use.
TIPS FOR DIAPERCHAMP ONE
Return the DiaperChamp to the open position after each diaper to prevent odors from sticking to the cylindrical weight. Use good quality garbage bags and avoid thin materials.
TIPS FOR DIAPERCHAMP HANDSFREE
The Handsfree models have a return system that automatically closes the lid as soon as you release the pedal. This is a deliberate choice, originally developed for the professional market. It ensures that a dirty diaper is immediately rotated away without extra action, which helps minimize odors and works extra hygienically.
Because the system closes automatically, the rotating mechanism remains in contact with used diapers more often. Therefore, we advise cleaning the underside of the moving cylinder occasionally. This is a maintenance action that contributes to a consistently fresh and optimally functioning system.
My DiaperChamp still smells, what am I doing wrong?
Make sure the bag is threaded through the bag holder (the ring on the inside of the pail) for an airtight seal. Do not fold the bag over the outside of the pail; the bag should not be visible on the outside. Clean the pail with a plastic cleaner if odors have seeped into the plastic and let the DiaperChamp air out outside. The DiaperChamp can be completely disassembled for thorough cleaning (see VIDEO).
ORDERING, SHIPPING & RETURNS
Where can I buy a (large) DiaperChamp?
Through our webshop, authorized retailers, and selected online marketplaces such as Amazon.
When can I expect my order?
If you order before 3:00 PM, your order will be shipped the same day. You will always receive a track & trace code.
I ordered a Maxi pail, but the box seems so small?
That's correct. Thanks to the clever design, the Maxi fits into a compact box. That is better for the environment.
I ordered multiple products, but only received one box?
Our logistics partner packages orders as efficiently as possible. It is possible that your value pack with bags has been packaged inside the diaper pail box.
Why can't I exchange a diaper pail after trying it?
Diaper pails are hygiene products. We can only process your return and refund the purchase amount if the diaper pail is returned unused and in its original packaging.
MAINTENANCE AND ADVICE
I can no longer easily turn the handle. What might be the problem?
This could be due to a full bag or a blockage. Check if the bag is too full or if a diaper is blocking the mechanism. Also, make sure the seals and moving parts are clean and free of dirt.
I can no longer easily step on the pedal, the lid only opens halfway. What might be the problem?
This can be easily solved by removing the right button (on the side of the opening with the logo) and clicking it back into place.
How can I disassemble my DiaperChamp for a thorough cleaning?
Watch the VIDEO to see how to dismantle the top part of the DiaperChamp. Parts can optionally be cleaned in the dishwasher at a low temperature (maximum 40°C). The ball and rubber rings should not be put in the dishwasher; clean them with a mild detergent and a cloth. The two halves of the top part are firmly attached, so you need to use some force to separate them. You can clean the pail with a plastic cleaner or a suitable cleaning agent. Regularly leave the DiaperChamp open to ventilate.
